I realize you all don't know me very well and this is my first Journal entry. I have always wanted to be an artist but I was not as good as the others around me; not for the lack of trying. Fell into a very good career that pays the bills real well, it forced me to develop the analytical side of my head instead of the creative side. I am a Network Engineer and sometimes my creativity and abstract thinking help me solve problems.

I enjoy many forms of art. The one that is most unique is my painted stained glass and doing sand paintings. I do enjoy photography and studied that in school years ago. I recently bought a new digital camera, it is my first one, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8. Most of the photos I take I do not manipulate other then reducing the over exposure and white balance. I am still learning and trying to get better. I thank the photographers on this site that are willing to share information and links to sites.

This site is kind of hard to figure out. I see a lot of really good work and so many people have so much visibility on their images. I am still trying to figure out how to increase the number of views on my work. Some of mine is not that good but others are definitely a lot better. I am trying and that is all that matters. You never know until you try!

On a personal note outside of my art, my Inspiration and my love just recently asked me to marry him! That is the highlight of my life right now. I have been in love with him for over 2 years and this just makes me so happy. He is so supportive of all I do and I am of what he does. He is an aspiring writer and I am an aspiring artist....aren't we a pair! He is working to get some short stories published and then write a novel.
